The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is a Philippine government agency serving Manila and other cities. The MMDA is the agency that exercises regulatory and supervisory authority over the delivery of Philippines-wide services within the Metro Manila area, performing planning, monitoring, and coordination functions and, in the process, ensuring that the autonomy of local governments in local matters is not compromised. We had a dialogue with Mr. Atty Romando, MMDA chairman, for the future provision and improvement of services in the Philippines as a whole.
