Received a Certificate of Appreciation at the ISCB’s Global Awards for SME Support

Thank you very much for your continued support of our project. We are pleased to inform you that we have received a certificate of appreciation at the Global Awards organized by ISCB for supporting small and medium enterprises.

MSME DAY 2023, organized by ICSB Philippines (International Council for Small Business Philippines), an international business support organization, was held in Manila, Philippines from June 21 to 23, 2023. On April 6, 2017, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution recognizing the crucial role Micro-, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MSMEs) play in achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Resolution (A/71/279) designates June 27 as “Micro-, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Day”.
With support from ICSB Global under the leadership of its current Chairman, Dr. Winslow Sargeant (for Head of the Small Business Administration, appointed by President Barack Obama) and President Dr. Ayman El Tarabishy, Deputy Head of the Graduate School of Management at the George Washington University, the Permanent Mission of Argentina to the UN authored the resolution that was presented to and negotiated with all UN member states.
The resolution was co-sponsored by 54 member states, representing over 5 billion people. Since the adoption of the 2030 UN Sustainable Development Goals Agenda, all countries have been working for its implementation, which aims to ensure that every actor can contribute in the best possible way.

The event featured opening keynote speaker by Hon. Monique Lagdameo, Vice Mayor of Makati City, event highlights by Dr. Donald Patrick Lim, CME CIO, Udenna Corporation, DITO Holdings, COO, junca Holdings board member, and keynote speaker by Usec. Blesila Lantayona, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Regional Operations Group and gave a speech on the development of SMEs.

Dr. Hisayuki Nagatome, President of junca Holdings, took the stage to receive a certificate of appreciation for his contribution to the development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), along with Hon. Monique Lagdameo, Vice Mayor of Makati City, Cong Romulo Pena, Councilor of Makati City, and other key government officials and major business leaders.

At BSL BUSINESS WEEK & UN MSME DAY 2023, junca Holdings was introduced as a major partner along with major global companies and government agencies such as ICSB Philippines, the host of the event, DTI, the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry, and Union Bank, the Philippines’ universal bank.
