【Notice】Partnership with PEZA, a Philippine government agency

We are pleased to announce that junca Holdings has formed a partnership with PEZA (Philippines Economic Zone Authority), a Philippine government agency.

About PEZA

PEZA is part of the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), a government agency established under the Special Economic Zone Act of 1995. The Philippine government has high expectations for foreign investment to supplement Philippine domestic capital and is actively seeking to attract foreign investment. Therefore, PEZA’s mission is to attract investment, promote exports, and create jobs. As of November 2021, there are 415 special economic zones designated as PEZA by the President of the Philippines to attract foreign investment.

PEZA and junca Holdings, the Parties agree to aggressively promote the Philippines as an investment destination not only for the established manufacturing companies in Japan, but as well as startups that want to collaborate with local startups or MSMEs that are engaged in activities under the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Fire).

PEZA Deputy Director General for Policy and Planning Tereso O. Panga expects junca Holdings’ partnership with PEZA to attract strategic industries such as high-tech manufacturing, health and medical, and industries engaged in all emerging technologies.

Furthermore, while the bilateral relationship between the Philippines and Japan has already been strong for decades, it has reached new heights under Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s presidency, and they are hopeful that the Philippines will achieve upper middle income country status in the next two years, starting with this partnership alliance.

Participated in the roundtable discussion hosted by PEZA

We were invited to participate in the roundtable discussion by PEZA. Mr. Robespierre L. Bolivar, Charge d’Affaires of the Philippine Embassy, Mr. Tereso O. Panga, PEZA Deputy Director General for Policy and Planning, and others took the stage to share their insights on the economic development potential of a future partnership between the Philippines and Japan.

We are honored that our partnership alliance with the government agency will make this project known to a wider audience. In addition, PEZA and junca Holdings will continue to work together to create synergies for new steps forward and also to expand opportunities for existing companies in the Philippines and Japan, thereby contributing to the creation of jobs for talented Asian human resources and economic development for small and medium-sized enterprises in the Philippines.
